KATHRINA, RITA, WILMA – THE FIERY HURRICANES

I have a few questions to the blogworld.

Why are all the Hurricanes named after women ?

Was it done by an all-women committee or an all-men committee ?

Was it done to enhance the image of the woman or otherwise ?

Boy-O-Boy. Are we going to see a few Hurricanes in the comment section. That would definitely make my return to blogging, literally with a loud bang.

WAITING FOR LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

Am still traveling in the dark tunnel of difficult times and the light at the end of the tunnel is still not in sight and that is the reason of the long absence from blogging. I am trying to learn the art of detaching myself from problems, which not only prevents you from giving it a larger than life image but also helps you focus on the solution.

As I was busy fighting a battle with myself, I got this story through a mail, which in a way gave a solution to attain my quest. I thought I would share this message with all my blogfriends when I have nothing of my own thought to post. This is how it goes :

An old Master teaching in a classroom was distracted by the presence of an unhappy young student in the class who seem to be lost in his own world of miseries. The old Master instructed the unhappy young man to put a handful of salt in a glass of water and then to drink it.

"How does it taste?" the Master asked "Awful!" spat the student.

The Master chuckled and then asked the young man to take another handful of salt and put it in the nearby lake.

The two walked in silence to the lake. When the student swirled his handful of salt into the lake, the old man said, "Now drink from the lake." As the water dripped down the young man's chin, the Master asked, "How does it taste?" "Good!" remarked the student.

"Do you taste the salt?" asked the Master. "No," said the young man.
The Master sat beside this troubled young man, took his hands, and said, "The pain of life is pure salt; no more, no less. The amount of pain in life remains the same, exactly the same. But the amount we taste the pain depends on the container we put it into.
So when you are in pain, the only thing you can do is to enlarge your perspective.
Stop being a glass. Become a lake!"
This story made me thinking in terms of expanding my own perspective and I thought what better way it can be than to get back into the blogworld where the scope of expansion is unlimited.
