SHORT STORY 2

He felt guilty and stopped her whenever she cried, she called it emotional blackmail and loss of basic freedom. He allowed her this freedom without interference, the world called him inhuman.

Out of care he was very gentle on her in bed, she insulted calling him unmanly. He displayed his manliness to make her happy; she broke her hip, the world called him barbaric.

  • What a way to project guys!!!! You mean they don't have a way out. :-)

  • Before commenting, I read almost all your latest posts. " RIDICULOUS TITLE" Ans "Mercy Killing" especially caught my attention. Yes, in the absence of real perfomers, our media tend to highlight Sania Mirz and Kartikeyan. Sania especially seem more at other places than at tennis court. An article written on ex-All Badminton Champ Prakash Padukone flashed in my mind. where it was highlighted that he was facilitated after winning the championship, and he returned home at 3:30 in the morning, but next day at 5:30 he was on the badminton court!

  • This looks like the "view from the opposite side" to the latest QT by Ammani :-)

By Blogger Krish, at 9:23 PM

  • Extremely short story I guess.

But yeah, viewpoints differ... and that gets highlighted in the short two paras. Good one!

  • Interesting, Hari, Interesting. War of the Worlds notwithstanding, is this what is War of the Sexes? Who's the winner? I dread to think....

  • IRONIC - Is what comes to my mind. Nice play of words which now come to prove my point. I dont see this as a battle of the sexes or as a sexist issue - WHY?

BECAUSE you've used the words HE and SHE. Specifics. Not Man and Woman - a generalization.

Because a man and woman in love would not have such trivial ... matters bothering them. A woman wouldn't cry if she really loved her man. My mom always told me - Never Trust a female who cries and a male who smiles. There is a LOT of sense in that ...

So, its quiet sad to see that there still are females who cry in bed and stupid males who feel 'guilty' - in all probabilities he's having second thoughts and that's why he's guilty - maybe a wife in the background!?

Honestly and personally - manliness is not proved in the fact that a male had impregnated a female and thus given birth to a child. A man will prove his manliness only and ONLY if that child he fathered will call him his / her father in all reverence and love and respect.

People get married give birth to children and then provide food, clothes and shelter and then it's over - NO - it is NOT.

O Great, I've strayed away from the topic !!! Anyways, nice 'short story' :-)

  • Well firstly very good concept!!

Its actually a nice antidote after all the male bashing on Sophie's journal.

    LOL!!

    Hey Sophie....no offence meant!

Feedback...please take this as constructive criticism!

i guess the sentences have a few "buts" missing. Having those around will probably make the sentences more grammatically correct.

There was once a time when India had true sportsmen in sports and statesmen in politics.

Today we have models in sports and misleaders in politics.

Be happy by doing your duty in making others happy. It is for those others to appreciate your efforts and be contended and happy or greedy for more and sad.
